Why i volunteer

When I arrived at Song of Travel Hostel, I had the intention to stay for two or three nights. Three nights became four, five and then I decided to stay as a volunteer.

The idea of leaving this hostel made me sad. I love the vibe in Song of Travel, the personal touch and the staff are lovely.

Since my first day as a volunteer, the staff feels like family. They are very interested, helpful and try to teach me Burmese. 

Making cocktails and opening beer bottles became my specialty. I like the interaction with the guests and the staff at the rooftop bar.
Volunteering at Song of Travel Hostel is by far the best thing I did while travelling in South East Asia.
