why i volunteer

To be totally honest, I volunteer first and foremost to save money.

Secondly I volunteer to get to know a place a little better and meet some good people. Little did I know when I decided to volunteer at Song of Travel that I would meet some of the best people ever.

Everyone at this hostel is so full of smiles, so friendly and ready to help both guests and volunteers. Fiona and Erica are such kind and genuine people. I can only hope that a little bit of everyone’s personalities have rubbed off on me in my time here. I’ll never forget all the smiles. And living somewhere as beautiful as Inle Lake never hurts!

One word of advice, two weeks is much too short of time in this place! Stay longer :)
